2022 Rich Gator UPDATE

Hope everyone is well — we appreciate each and every gator greatly 🤝

This article will be split up into three parts:

1. Our Journey so far
2. Partnership Outreach Update
3. Alternative routes we could take

1. What our community has accomplished so far:

1. Community giveaways in the form of NFTs from other collections, crypto and Golf gear. Our team has been able to hold over $20,000 worth of giveaways exclusively for our holders. This is currently ongoing through our Golf Fantasy Challenge.
2. Community activities in the form of fantasy sports and other competitions, offering up an engaging and fun way for our holders to earn rewards and connect with other gators.
3. Charity donation of $10,000 to the First Tee organization, helping shape the lives of underprivileged children and introduce them to the wonderful game of Golf.
4. 125k+ of secondary market sales, with the average sale being ABOVE the mint price of .022 ETH
5. Launched the 19th Hole Member’s verified portal, where holders can create a custom profile and mark a world map, change their gator’s name on OpenSea, enter giveaways and vote on community issues.
6. Introduced many new people to world of NFTs and community. We pride ourselves as an early stage collection that brought many new people into the world of NFTs. We have also found it very rewarding to teach so many of our members about the space.
7. Connected with so many of our members on Discord voice call and DMs: It has been amazing to speak with so many of you and meet community members from all over the world. Our members are working on some very cool things and our team is always here to be a sounding board and connect with you all. It has also been great to see some of our members connecting/meeting outside the Discord and planning a round of golf ⛳️
8. WL to other projects: This has been light so far and revolved around smaller projects. Working in the space full time, Blockrex and I have been helping with larger scale projects. Anything and everything we do is with the Gators in mind.

2. We have mentioned several exciting things that we hope to do in 2022:

Launch Baby Gators:

We feel that a credible partner is necessary to provide the additional utility needed to properly launch “Baby Gators”. The NFT landscape is constantly changing at a rapid speed and we feel that a generative art collection without superior utility cannot launch successfully at this time. Our team understands people are excited about being able to mint these, but our team feels the proper value cannot be added to them without receiving a partner/backer.

Enter the Metaverse:

Creating a reliable, and most importantly fun experience for our holders requires a ton of time. This would ultimately have minimal payoff if the brand name and utility rewards for the collection weren’t valuable. It would also require strong community engagement, which we think obtaining a partner would boost significantly.

We want RGGC to be an exclusive reward program for Golf membership benefits

We know we have a lot of holders who are passionate about Golf and feel that our community could utilize a Golf partner’s network to get additional perks. We have spoken to several smaller golf shops that were open to offering our holders discounts or perks but did not receive much initial feedback back in the Discord.

Right now…

Our team’s main priority continues to be setting up meetings to see if there is interest in the proposal that our team has created. We feel that we have a lot to offer to a potential backer, but it is also understandable that the world of NFTs can be confusing and may receive a false perception from different forms of media. We will keep everyone in the loop as we do so and hope to chat with you on Discord while this is ongoing!

Lastly, we wanted to mention that the Rich Gator Golf Club will be on the blockchain forever. Blockrex and I have been very clear that we transitioned our careers full time into the NFT space and assist on several projects at the moment in varying roles. The Rich Gators will always be OUR project and we will take any chance we have to reward holders. We are extremely excited about some of the projects we are working on and some of the people that we are working with.

If we are not able to secure a legitimate golf brand to partner up/back us, we will not be going anywhere. Things would be different, but we feel that without a partner the best way we can reward loyal holders is through having the RGGC be a place for exclusive access into the work we do in our careers, NFT education, mentoring and idea sharing.

For all projects we work on, we will ensure that the community is aware, kept up to date and given as much value as possible through WL spots or exclusive access of some kind.

As we spend more time researching and working in the space, we feel like we can provide beneficial insight into current events, market trends and upcoming projects.

Sunday Recaps would shift to a sunday recap of the entire world of NFTs, with collections that we are watching as well as other insight into the industry!

1:1 Discussions

Since we’re in the space full time, we are open to working with some holders to share insights about the space. We have many holders pursuing projects on their own and would be happy to give feedback to anyone in our community to just talk through our experience on a 1:1 call.

NFT Workshops

We are also open to running a “workshop series” where groups can attend and learn from the team. Whatever people think would be the most helpful.
